Some of My Paradigms

Who am “I”.  I am the sum of my paradigms, my many foundational positions and all that flows from them. Each person is a construct of numerous paradigms. Life gives many opportunities to test their validity.

Disillusioned: I began my career with a  naïve illusion of an altruistic ethical health care Establishment. Decades as a chiropractic lobbyist gave me the experiences to shatter that illusion. My current paradigm is that in matters chiropractic, the health care Establishment is rarely trustworthy.

Confirmed: I learnt to say, I do not know, Innate, the power that made the body and heals the body, knows. I recognise that I am a servant not the master. I locate and adjust the subluxations and rely upon Innate for the outcome.

Validated: Ten thousand plus practice days of busy sessions, locating and adjusting many thousands of subluxations permitted me, in each instance to observe what the body’s innate intelligence would do. I know from experience that human and some non-human vertebrates have a mechanism permitting vertebrae to misalign, to fixate joints, to announce the presence of nerve interference and when the subluxation is corrected, to resume normal function.

Conflict:  Pharmacy based medicine's potential profit lies in the long term manangement of subluxation related symptoms occuring among the world’s humans and some non-human vertebrates.  Chiropractic care addresses the subluxations causing those symptom, negating the need for medical intervention. Ensuring  that the medical profession manages billions of subluxation related disorders is the multibillion dollar flash point for pharmacy based medical opposition to chiropractic.

Access: Accurate public knowledge precedes usage. Spinal check-ups and regular chiropractic maintenance care should be as accepted as are medical and dental check-ups. Government funded direct access to chiropractic care should a reality. Spinal care is a life time affair.

Scope:  My signature role as a chiropractor is to locate and adjust subluxations. The scope of their influence is as diverse as is the control of the spine related nervous system.

Progress: Who I have developed into as a chiropractor, has been styled by decades of questioning and testing these and many other paradigms; and that, remains a work in progress.

Best wishes,
